Credits for buyers
How VestaVids credits work for buyers: pack sizes, what a credit is worth, how they spend, and when credits or direct payment makes more sense.
What a credit is
A credit on VestaVids is worth one dollar at the point of purchase. You buy credits in packs, from $10 for 10 credits up to $1,000 for 1,000 credits, and the credits sit in your account until you spend them. When you buy a clip, set or bundle from a creator who accepts credits, the price is deducted from your balance and the item is yours immediately.
That instant unlock is the main reason credits exist. There is no payment link to visit, no separate confirmation from the creator, and no payment details entered for each purchase. One balance works across every store that accepts credits.
How creators are paid
When you spend credits with a creator, they can cash out what they receive at 75 cents per credit. So of a ten-credit purchase, the creator takes home $7.50. The difference covers the cost of running the credit system. Direct payment through a creator's own links, by contrast, goes entirely to the creator; VestaVids takes nothing from it.
Neither route is wrong. Many buyers use credits for speed and convenience, especially for small purchases and across several creators, and pay direct for larger purchases or for creators they particularly want to support. Some creators say on their profile which they prefer; it costs nothing to look.
Buying and spending credits
Choose the pack that matches how you expect to spend. A small pack is a sensible way to try the system. Larger packs make sense once you know you will use them; check the current pack options and any terms before buying, since details can change. Credits are tied to your account, so keep your login secure and your email verified.
Credits can be used for:
- Clips, photo sets and bundles from creators who accept credits.
- Custom requests, where the creator quotes a price and you accept.
- Messaging creators who require credits per message. The profile states the amount, and it is deducted when you send.
Your balance shows in your account. Items you buy with credits appear in your purchases alongside anything you paid for directly.
Sensible habits
- Read the listing before you spend. Credits deduct instantly, so the time to check length and content is before the purchase.
- Keep a rough sense of your balance and buy packs deliberately rather than topping up on impulse.
- If a purchase fails to deliver or a clip will not play, contact the creator first, then use the report function if you cannot resolve it.
- Treat credits like money, because they are. They are for supporting creators whose work you value.
If you ever want to know exactly how much of your spend reached a creator, the arithmetic is simple: direct payments reach them in full, subject only to their own processor's fees; credits reach them at 75 cents on the dollar.
