Paying creators directly
How direct payment works on VestaVids: paying through a creator's own links, why every dollar reaches them, and how to do it smoothly.
What direct payment means
On VestaVids, creators can list their own payment links: accounts with processors that permit adult transactions. When you pay directly, the money goes from you to the creator through that processor. VestaVids takes nothing from it. For a buyer who wants the most to reach the creator, this is the route.
Which processors a creator offers is up to them, and they vary. Some are set up for small payments, some for larger ones, some work only in certain countries. The creator's profile or the item page will say what they accept and how they want the payment made.
How a direct purchase usually goes
Steps differ a little between creators, so read their instructions. The general shape is:
- Choose the clip, set or bundle and note the price.
- Follow the creator's payment link and pay the listed amount.
- Confirm with the creator as they ask, usually by including a reference they specify or by messaging them with the payment details.
- The creator confirms the payment and makes the item available to you.
Because a person is confirming, there can be a delay, especially across time zones. Creators who run their stores carefully say how quickly they usually respond. If you need an item right away, credits unlock instantly; direct payment rewards patience with the full amount reaching the creator.
Doing it well
- Pay the exact listed amount. Underpaying creates awkward messages; overpaying as a tip is welcome, but say that is what you meant.
- Use the reference or note the creator asks for. It is how they match your payment to your purchase.
- Keep the receipt from the processor until the item is delivered.
- Do not send payment for something the creator has not agreed to, especially customs. Agree first, pay second.
- Never ask a creator to accept payment through a method they have not listed. They chose their processors for reasons that may include their own safety and the processor's rules.
Payments through a processor appear on your statements under whatever name that processor and the creator use. If this matters to you, check before paying. Do not ask creators for personal details beyond what the payment requires, and do not share theirs.
If something goes wrong
Contact the creator first through VestaVids messages with your receipt. Most problems are a missed notification or a mismatched reference, and they resolve quickly. If you paid and received nothing after a reasonable time and the creator has not responded, use the report function; reports are read by a person. A chargeback through a processor should be a last resort, since it can cost the creator fees and standing with the processor, and it is not appropriate once you have received the item.
Direct payment is the simplest way to make sure your support lands in full. Creators notice who does it.
